Check of the brake amplifier

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    The brake amplifier it is necessary to check, if for braking it is necessary to make unusually big effort a brake pedal. To squeeze out a pedal of a brake of at least 5 times at the idle engine, then to start the engine with the pressed pedal. The pedal should leave noticeably down. In this case the brake amplifier works normally. If it does not occur, to check tightness. Otherwise to remove a vacuum hose on the brake amplifier, to start the engine. To put by the hose end a finger and to check vacuum existence at the working engine. If the vacuum is absent: To check a vacuum hose on a leakage and damages, if necessary to replace. To tighten all shlangovy collars. Diesel engine: To remove a hose from the vacuum pump and to check a finger, whether there is a vacuum on the union. If the vacuum is put: To measure value of low pressure, if necessary to replace the brake amplifier (it is carried out in a workshop).

Thus always to replace the return valve in the vacuum pipeline as the membrane in the brake amplifier can be damaged by getting pairs of fuel (at the faulty return valve).
