Removal and installation of the fuel pump

On cars with the injector engine the fuel pump together with the fuel level sensor is on the holder in a fuel tank.

At removal of a fuel tank a fuel quantity can act. Pairs of fuel are poisonous, therefore it is necessary to provide good ventilation of a room. To avoid fuel hit on skin. To work in toplivostoyky mittens. Not to work near open fire! To keep in readiness the fire extinguisher!

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    To disconnect a weight cable from the battery.

Data from memory of malfunctions of the engine or protective code of a radio receiver are thus erased. Before shutdown of the battery it is necessary to read instructions in the Section Removal and battery installation.

    To remove the fuel level sensor, see. Head the Power supply system, the carburetor, system of injection of fuel, the Section Removal and sensor installation/check in a fuel tank. To remove a fastening tape from the holder and the fuel pump. To unscrew fastening from the holder. To remove a rubber damper. To disconnect the tip of the fuel pump. To take out fuel pumps from топливопроводов. To take out the pump from fastening from below. To remove the fuel filter.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    To establish the fuel filter on the new fuel pump. To establish a rubber damper on the new fuel pump.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    To cover new consolidation of round section by a thin butter layer and to put on the fuel pump. To insert the fuel pump in топливопроводы. To connect tips of the fuel pump. To establish and screw fastening.
    Strongly to press the fuel pump with a rubber support in fastening.
    To fix the pump on the holder a fixing tape. To establish the fuel level sensor, see. Head the Power supply system, the carburetor, system of injection of fuel, the Section Removal and sensor installation/check in a fuel tank. To connect a weight cable to the battery. If are available, to establish time on hours and to set a protective code of a radio receiver.
