Removal and installation/check of the fuel pump

Carburetor engine

The fuel pump is screwed on a head of cylinders. It is put in action via the lever directly from a cam-shaft. For check of the pump to remove it it is not required.

At removal of the fuel pump a fuel quantity can act. Pairs of fuel are poisonous, therefore it is necessary to provide good ventilation of a room. To avoid fuel hit on skin. To work in toplivostoyky mittens. Not to work near open fire! To keep in readiness the fire extinguisher!



    To disconnect a fuel hose on the carburetor and to connect to a manometer.
    To disconnect a returnable fuel hose from the pump and to cork the union on the pump. To fix a stopper a collar. To stop up returnable топливопровод with a pure bolt. To ask the assistant to start the engine. At number of turns of a starter to take readings of a manometer. Pressure at number of turns of a starter should be 2,8-3,5 Bar (Е1, EZ, Е5: 2,0-3,0 Bar).
    To remove a manometer and to lower a fuel hose in a measuring vessel (beaker).
    To ask the assistant to start the engine. The pump idling should submit 800 ml of fuel a minute. To remove a stopper, to connect топливопроводы and to fix collars. If values at check do not correspond demanded, the pump is faulty and should be replaced.



    To weaken shlangovy collars and to disconnect fuel hoses-1-and-2-. To stop up hoses with suitable pure bolts. To mark hoses with a sticky tape.

At a detachment топливопроводов to enclose a rag for collecting following fuel.

    To unscrew bolts of fastening and to remove the fuel pump-3-, laying and an insulator.



    Carefully to release a sealing surface on a head of cylinders and an insulator from the consolidation remains by means of a shaber. To establish the fuel pump with 2 new laying and an insulator and to tighten fastening bolts with effort of 25 Nanometers. To connect топливопроводы according to marking and to fix shlangovy collars. To start the engine and to check tightness of a gasoline pump and connections.
