Check/removal and installation lambda probe The lambda probe serves for adjustment of composition of the fulfilled gases on cars with petrol engines with the adjustable catalyst. The probe is screwed in in a final collector.

Connection cables a lambda probe should not be under repair or soldered. In case of cable damage to replace the lambda probe in a set. |
Check
|
|
To warm up the engine, the arrow of the index of temperature of cooling liquid should be in the scale middle.
To leave the engine to work at single turns.
To disconnect electric connection and to connect between contact a lambda probe and mass of the car the voltmeter.

At number of turns of 3000 rpm tension should make about 0,55 In, for this purpose give a little gas the butterfly valve lever.
|
Several times quickly to increase number of turns and let's decrease. At increase of number of turns the voltmeter should show tension from 0,5 to 1,0 In, at decrease in turns from 0 to 0,4 In, differently a lambda probe it is necessary to replace. (In a workshop by means of the diagnostic device sensitivity) can be checked.

Removal

To disconnect the tip.
|
|
To unscrew a lambda probe on a final collector and to remove with laying. If necessary to unscrew at first the heat-shielding screen.
|

Installation

At replacement to take the lambda probe of only the same execution. |

To clear a carving.
To cover with special BOSH greasing a carving only a lambda probe. New probes are already covered with this greasing. Greasing should not get on a shlitsa or an opening of a body of the sensor. Whenever possible not to touch a body new a lambda probe, not to soil it.

If the sensor to screw in without special high-temperature paste, eventually the carving will strongly become attached and a lambda probe it will be impossible to unscrew. |
To screw in a lambda probe with laying and to tighten with effort of 40 Nanometers.
To connect the tip to a lambda probe.
