Car operation with an automatic transmission
For movement in a usual mode it is necessary to include only a step of "D".

If the lever of switching has to be included in the situation "R" or "P" if the lever has to be switched on from «D» in «2» or from «2» in «1», it is necessary to press the button on the handle of the lever of switching. It is explained by an arrow …. In the arrow direction … the lever of a choice of transfer can move without button pressing.

When switching lever of the provision of a neutral or a parking in the provision of advance or a backing squeeze out a brake pedal.

  • Turn on the switching lever in the situation "R" and "R" only on motionlessly standing car.
  • Never disperse the engine by the included transfer forward and the squeezed-out pedal of a brake.
  • Never hold the car on lifting at the expense of increase in number of turns. Surely use brake system.
  • Switch to steps «1», «2», «D» or «R» from the situation "N" or "D" only idling.

Engine start

Use position of the N or R lever.

R — (the provision of a parking)

Include only on motionlessly standing car.

The provision of a parking cannot be used as a parking brake. If you leave the car without supervision even for short time, always tighten the hand brake, include the provision of a parking and take out the ignition key. It is impossible to leave the car without supervision with working engine.

R — (Backing)

For movement by a backing include only on motionlessly standing car.

N — (neutral situation)

The provision of idling (squeeze out a brake pedal)

D — (movement)

This step is used for a usual mode of movement. Intervals of switching are established taking into account economic operation.

2 — (the second step of movement)

This situation should be included at heavy or slow traffic, at movement on liftings, at movement under a bias for achievement of the greatest force of braking, at a start of motion on the slippery road or in other situations in which soft acceleration is necessary. Remember that at movement at the second step it is impossible to exceed speed of 110 km/h, 100 km/h (1,3 l).

1 — (the first step of movement)

This step is provided for a hard work on towage and for movement on steep slopes or descents. Remember that at movement at a step 1 it is impossible to exceed speed of 60 km/h, 55 km/h (1,3 l).

Compulsory switching on lower transfer (KICKDOWN)

(only at a movement D step)

When overtaking or at movement in mountains completely squeeze out a gas pedal. The transmission will automatically be switched to lower transfer.

Start of motion on big liftings

Squeeze out the left foot a pedal of a brake and establish the switching lever in situation "D" or "1". Slowly press the right foot a pedal of gas and at the same time release a brake pedal.
