Removal and installation of the water pump The water pump is not subject to repair. In case of malfunction it is necessary to replace the pump. At malfunction of an epiploon cooling liquid flows down on the block of cylinders. The water pump is actuated by a maple belt.

To disconnect a weight cable from the battery.

To remove the bottom facing of the engine-1-.
|
To merge and collect cooling liquid.
To weaken bolts of fastening of a belt pulley of the water pump.

To unscrew a remenny pulley of the water pump-5-.
To disconnect a hose of cooling liquid-3-, previously having weakened a collar.
To unscrew bolts of fastening of the water pump-5-and to remove the water pump from a pipe of perepuskny system-4-.

Installation

To put on a perepuskny pipe new laying.
To insert the water pump so that the perepuskny pipe completely sat in the pump. To tighten fastening bolts with effort 30Нм. To check, that the water pump freely rotated and anywhere did not hook.
To put on a hose of cooling liquid and to fix a collar.
To establish a remenny pulley and to tighten effort of a hand.
To establish maple a belt, see. Head Petrol engines, Section Removal and installation/tension of a maple belt.
To tighten bolts of fastening of a belt pulley.
To fill in cooling liquid.
To connect a weight cable to the battery.
If are available, to establish time on hours and to set a protective code of a radio receiver.
After a trial trip to check tightness of system of cooling.

To unscrew bolts of fastening of the water pump-5-and to remove the pump.

Installation

To clear sealing surfaces on the block of cylinders, the water pump and water unions at first a shaber, then to wipe a rag, to remove the consolidation remains.
Carefully to insert the new pump-5-with new laying-6-. To tighten bolts with effort of 25 Nanometers.(DOHC) VR engine: To establish directing and tension rollers with a spring and to tighten with effort 45Нм. To put on new laying-4-on perepuskny the pipeline-3-.
To establish a water branch pipe of-1-c new laying-4-and to tighten with effort 25Нм. To establish and pull a gear belt, see. Head Petrol engines, Section Removal and installation of a gear belt of VZ engines, В5, B6 (SOHC), (SOHC) VR.
To fill in cooling liquid.
To connect a weight cable to the battery.
