Idling check

VR engines have electronic system of adjustment of idling therefore idling adjustment on these engines is impossible.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Check condition: The air filter should be established; all hoses, and pipelines of system of an admission of air are connected. All consumers of the electric power are switched off.
    To warm up the engine. The temperature of the engine makes a minimum +80°С. To check the ignition moment.

To connect the verifying device only at the switched-off ignition.

    To connect a tachometer according to the instruction of the manufacturer. To start the engine and to leave to idle. Let's to the engine work in a current of 2 minutes with number of turns of 2500 rpm. To leave the engine to work at single turns and to check number of turns of idling.

1 — the Automatic transmission: Number of single turns + 100 rpm.

During check the fan of a radiator should not turn on. If the fan turned on, it is necessary to wait, while it again will not be switched off.


    If the number of single turns does not correspond to demanded value, to adjust it by means of the adjusting screw of a butterfly valve.
    To disconnect verifying devices at the idle engine and the switched-off ignition.
