Check/replacement of the traction relay of a starter

Inclusion scheme

At malfunction of the traction relay the gear wheel in a starter does not enter into a gear wreath of a flywheel. Because of it the starter cannot turn the crankshaft. This defect meets more often than damage of the motor of a starter.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    To remove a starter.
    To disconnect a cable of a winding of excitement from the plug C.
    To connect the traction relay auxiliary cables to the battery. The gear wheel of a starter should be put forward outside.

Cables can be connected at most for 10 seconds, the winding of the traction relay differently will fuse.

    To disconnect a weight cable from S.Shesternya's plug of a starter should remain wrung out, differently to replace the relay. To disconnect a weight cable on the starter case, the gear wheel should be involved, differently replace.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    To unscrew 2 bolts of fastening and the plug of a cable of the relay from the case of a drive and to disconnect the traction relay. To remove washers.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    To establish the traction relay with washers, to attach to the lever of a starter and to screw with small effort (5 Nanometers). To check the traction relay as it is described above. To establish a starter.
