Removal and installation of the bearing of a nave

Cars to 9/89 g вып. and versatile person models (not all-wheel drive)

Holders of the two-componental bearing of a nave on cars to 9/89 g вып. are in a brake drum, on cars with back disk brakes — in a brake disk. After each installation люфт the bearing it should be regulated by a nut.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To remove a brake drum or a brake disk, see. Head Brake system.

The nave nut on the left side of the car has the left carving, for easing it should be rotated to the right (clockwise).

  1. To remove the released parts of the bearing.
  2. To wipe and examine bearing holders. In the presence of defects or visible wear all bearing should be replaced. Not to assort the bearing needlessly if it is not required.
  3. To take out an epiploon.
  1. To beat out both external holders a brass core. Thus to rearrange a core on a circle on various places in order to avoid a distortion of holders.

Not to apply a steel core that on holders were not formed agnails.

  1. In case of wear to remove an internal holder of the bearing from a pin a standard stripper.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Always to replace the nave bearing in a set (an internal and external holder and also a kacheniye body) even if only one holder is damaged.
  2. Visually to check a pin on existence of damages and wear, if necessary to replace.
  1. Evenly to hammer bearing holders - With - by means of a hammer and a brass core against the stop. It is better to use a stationary press if that is available, with an opravka of the corresponding diameter.
  1. To fill the conic roller bearing with greasing (lithium).
  2. To insert the internal bearing.
  1. Evenly to press a new epiploon by means of an equal plate, not to strike blows with a hammer directly to an epiploon.
  1. To cover an epiploon with greasing.
  2. To establish a brake drum, or a brake disk and thus also to insert the external conic roller bearing, see. Head Brake system.
  3. To adjust люфт the nave bearing.
  4. To screw a wheel, considering a label on a nave. To lower the car and to tighten wheel nuts cross-wise with effort of 100 Nanometers.
