Measurement of corners of installation of wheels is impossible without special measuring devices. Therefore we will be limited here only to the description of the main concepts necessary for measurement.

Convergence/disorder / cross-section inclination of an axis of turn of a wheel / longitudinal inclination of an axis of turn of a wheel (выбег)

The convergence is understood as lateral distance between wheels. Forward wheels, as a rule should have a positive convergence as wheels at the expense of disorder and resistance to a kacheniye run up a little outside as in bearings of naves, a suspension bracket of wheels and tips of steering drafts is available люфт. Выбег, disorder and a cross-section inclination of an axis of turn of a wheel on MAZDA 323 can be checked only, they are not subject to adjustment. If the measured sizes lie out of area of admissible limits, details of a suspension bracket are damaged or worn-out.

Adjustment

The viewing hole or the lift is necessary for check of corners of installation of wheels with a platform. At each measurement should be satisfied the following conditions.

  • The ordered pressure in tires
  • The car is not loaded, and completely filled.
  • The car previously strongly to rock
  • Steering wheel on the average situation.
  • Absence in drafts of a steering inadmissible люфта (maximum люфт a steering wheel at external edge of 30 mm)
  • Absence inadmissible люфта in a suspension bracket of wheels
  • Vertical and lateral palpation of disks of wheels should not exceed 2, 0 mm.
  • The difference on height between the left and right parties of the car, measured on the brink of a wing, should not be more than 10 mm.
